FLA LAX player placement guideline

FLA LAX is a Central Florida boys lacrosse league.  Boys from grades 1 to 8 may participate through their club team.    Here are the recommended placements:

Grades 1 and 2 - Bantam team  

Grades 3 and 4 - Lightning team  

Grades 5 and 6 - Junior team

Grades 7 and 8 - Senior team

Clubs may use their best judgment when deciding if a player may “play up”.  These decisions should be made by a club in very rare circumstances and should be discussed with the current FLA LAX President.  Examples: If no Bantam team is provided, the boy may play on a Lightning team.  An experienced 6th grader may play on a Senior team if, either no Junior team is provided or if it is in the best interest of the child.

Under NO circumstances may a player EVER play down.  No Lightning player may play on a Bantam team.  No Junior player may play on a Lightning team and no Senior player may play on a Junior team.  No 9th graders may ever play on a team that participates in the FLA LAX league.  If it is confirmed that a child has played down on a team the club will face immediate expulsion from the FLA LAX league.
